1-An Andhra Pradesh couple decided to add a particular touch to their wedding day by promising to donate their organs. As a result of their thoughtfulness, over 60 of their relatives have now signed up to donate their organs.
- On December 29, Satish Kumar and Sajeeva Rani are expected to exchange vows in their East Godavari district village of Velivennu, which is close to the town of Nidadavolu.
2-On Monday, President Droupadi Murmu prayed at the Srisailam temple in the Kurnool region of Andhra Pradesh and lay the cornerstone for a number of construction projects.
- She was welcomed by Andhra Pradesh Endowments Minister Kottu Satyanarayana, Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath, local MLA Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy, and senior officials upon her chopper arrival at Sunnipenta helipad from Hyderabad. The President travelled by road from there to get to Srisailam Temple.

3-At the Srisailam temple, President Murmu was welcomed by R. K. Roja, the tourism minister for Andhra Pradesh, as well as other members of the public and high officials. The customary welcome for her was extended by priests and temple officials. At the Ratnagarbha Ganapathi Swamy temple, she received darshan.
- Later, the President offered Kumkumarchana to Bramarambika Devi and Rudrabhishekam to Srisailam Mallikarjuna Swamy.
4-President Droupadi Murmu started a number of initiatives for the advancement of the Srisailam Temple. Under the National Mission of Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD) scheme of the Union Tourism Ministry, projects worth Rs 43 crore were initiated. In Srisailam, she also went to the Sri Shivaji Spoorthy Kendram.

5- On Monday, tension erupted in Gudivada town in Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district as the opposition TDP and the ruling YSRCP both planned separate events to commemorate the passing of former Congress MLA Vangaveeti Mohan Ranga Rao.
6-Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, spent Christmas Day with his family in Pulivendula, which is a town in the YSR Kadapa district. He attended the Christmas celebrations at Pulivendula’s CSI Church with his family in tow.
7-There has been talk of a political realignment for the Assembly elections scheduled for next year as a result of Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s attempts to resuscitate his Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Telangana.
- Last week, the TDP leader spoke at a public gathering in Khammam, sparking a fresh discussion among political circles.
8-Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, celebrated his 50th birthday on Wednesday with gaiety, pomp, social service, and cake-cuttings.

- Party General Secretary Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy and other party officials cut a 500 kilogramme cake to honour Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s birthday at the YSR Congress Party Central Office.
- Members of the Rajya Sabha V, Vijayasai Reddy, Lok Sabha Mithun Reddy, and other MPs celebrated the birthday by cutting a cake at AP Bhavan in New Delhi.
10-For two years, two ladies in the Kakinada area of Andhra Pradesh stayed inside their home out of dread of contracting the Covid-19 virus.
- The horrifying occurrence was made public in Kakinada’s Kuyyeru village.
