Awards with brief description
1-Iqbal Samman – These awards are given by the Government of Madhya Pradesh for the outstanding contribution in the field of literature.
2- Saraswati Samman – It is given for any distinguished literary work made during last 10 years in any of the Indian language.
It was instituted in 1991 by the K. K. Birla Foundation
3- Vyas Samman – It was instituted by K. K. Birla Foundation for outstanding contribution to Hindi literature. It was instituted in 1992
4- Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Awards – These awards are presented to the Indian scientist for their exceptional performance.
5- Tansen Awards – These awards are given for the outstanding contribution in the field of music by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
6-Dhanvantri Award – These awards are given for the extra ordinary performance in medical sciences.
7-Dronacharya Awards- These were given by Sports Ministry, Government of India.
It is instituted in 1985 and these are given to sports coaches.
8-Arjuna Awards- These were given by Sports Ministry, Government of India.
The awards were instituted in 1961 and these are given for the special achievements in different types of sports.
9-R.D. Birla Award -These awards are given in the field of medical sciences.
10- Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna -It is presented for commendable display by the players.
It was instituted in 1962.
