1- In the by-election for the Padampur assembly district in Odisha’s Bargarh district, almost 80% of voters turned out.

2-Barsha Singh Bariha, the late MLA Bijaya Ranjan Singh Bariha’s daughter, has been nominated by the ruling BJD in Odisha. Her father’s passing had prompted the by-poll.

3-The court has given permission for the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is looking into the money laundering aspect of the well-known honeytrap case in Odisha, to place the main defendant Archana Nag on seven-day detention.

4- In Bhubaneswar, Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik officially began the FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 trophy tour by presenting the trophy to Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey.

5-Before the winning team lifts the famous trophy, the fans and public will get the opportunity to interact with it during the FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 trophy tour, which will go through 13 states and one union territory before returning to Odisha on December 25.

6-The FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023’s penultimate leg of the trophy tour will be in Rourkela before eventually making its way back to Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, where the finals will be contested on January 29, 2023.

7- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD), led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, will be put to the test in the by-election for the Padampur Assembly constituency in Odisha’s Bargarh district since the BJP poses a serious danger to the party, which has been in power since 2000.

8- During the last “Make in Odisha” (MIO) summit, which ended in Bhubaneswar, the Odisha government received 741 investment intents totaling Rs 10.50 lakh crore.

9-Naveen Patnaik, the chief minister of Odisha, stated that the reform of education is no more a pipe dream but rather a reality in his state.

10-With the assistance of more than 30 lakh alumni and community people, over 50,000 government schools in Odisha have been renovated as part of the Mo School initiative, one of the largest alumni link programmes in the world.
