  1. On Friday at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune, the all-Indian team of N Sriram Balaji and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan defeated the British team of Julian Cash and Henry Patten in straight sets to go to the men’s doubles final of the Tata Open Maharashtra.

2-On Friday, Rajasthan United and Mohammedan Sporting drew 1-1 in an I-League 2022–23 game at the Ambedkar Stadium in New Delhi.

3 – Top seed Denis Shapovalov put up a strong fight, but Novak Djokovic overcame him to win the quarterfinal match 6-3, 6-4 and go to the semifinals of the Adelaide International 1.

4-Former No. 1 in doubles Sania Mirza has announced that she will end her career as a professional tennis player during the WTA 1000 event, the Dubai Tennis Championships, which starts on February 19. Mirza, a six-time major champion—three in doubles and three in mixed doubles—has committed to competing alongside Anna Danilina of Kazakhstan at this month’s Australian Open.

5- Rrahul Sachdev and Rovin D’Souza both won their individual matches at the National Sports Club of India (NSCI)-organized Rs 13 lakh prize-money All India Snooker Open 2023 by regularly potting and recording century breaks.

7- The fifth iteration of the Tata Open Maharashtra is expected to end in Pune on Saturday, and with that, the agreement between the event’s proprietors and the organisers, the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA), to hold the tournament in Pune, will come to an end.

On Friday, Chilean Jose Ignacio Cornejo, better known by his stage name Nacho, finished second in Ha’il (Saudi Arabia), while 8-Frenchman Adrien van Beveren of the Monster Energy Honda Team claimed victory in the fifth stage of the Dakar Rally 2023.

9-The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) announced on Friday that Gianluca Vialli, a legendary player in Italian football, has died at the age of 58 following a battle with pancreatic cancer.

10-Vialli, who was born in 1964, began his professional career with Cremonese, the team from his hometown, before transferring to Sampdoria in 1984. It was at Sampdoria that the hitman gained notoriety by winning a Scudetto, three Italian Cups, an Italian Supercoppa, and a UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup.

11- Benjamin Bonzi, ranked 60th in the ATP rankings, defeated Dutchman Biotic van de Zandschulp, ranked 35th, in three sets to advance to the final matchup against Tallon Griekspoor, also from the Netherlands, at the Tata Open Maharashtra ATP 250 tennis tournament in Pune on Friday.

12-Sarfaraz Ahmed continued his stellar play since his comeback on Friday, batting a superb century to help Pakistan stave off New Zealand in the gripping second and final Test, drawing 0-0 in Karachi.

15-Organizers for the next season of the Legends League Masters, the international version of the league, revealed on Friday that Doha, Qatar’s Qatar Cricket Association will host the event from February 27 to March 8, 2023.
