GENERAL AWARENESS –

 

1- ZED Certification Scheme related to MSME. ZED or Zero Defect, Zero Effect scheme is a new initiative launched by the Narendra Modi led NDA government.

2-Lucky Grahak Yojana is for the Consumers. NITI Aayog has announced the launch of the schemes.
Lucky Grahak Yojana(consumers) and the Digi-Dhan Vyapar Yojana(merchants) are focussing to give cash awards to consumers and merchants who utilize digital payment instruments for personal consumption expenditures.

3-The health assurance scheme Atal-Amrit Abhiyan was launched by Assam. Assam’s Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has launched this scheme and it has been launched on the occasion of the 92nd birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. It is a Health Assurance Scheme initiatives to cover all individuals incapable families with annual income below Rs 5 lakh.It will cover six diseases.

4-Nedumkayam became the first fully-digital tribal colony in India.Nedumkayam colony is in the Karulazhi panchayat, Nilambur.

5-GAAR is General Anti-Avoidance Rule. General Anti-Avoidance (GAAR) Rule will come into effect from April 1, 2017.

6-Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched “Biju Sishu Surakshya Yojana” for care and protection of HIV positive orphan children in the state.

7-The Public Distribution System (PDS) is operated under the responsibility of the Central and the State Governments. The Central Government, through Food Corporation of India (FCI), has assumed the responsibility for procurement, storage, transportation and bulk allocation of food grains to the State Governments.

8-DICGC, NABRAD and NHB are the wholly-owned subsidiary of the Reserve Bank of India.

9-CRISIL is the largest credit rating agency in India, with a market share of greater than 60%.

10-The headquarters of ONICRA is located in Guragon.ONICRA Credit Rating Agency of India Ltd is regarded as one of the prominent credit assessment service providers in India.It was established in the year 1993.

11-Coins can be issued up to the denomination of Rs.1000 as per the Coinage Act, 1906.

12-The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) is an autonomous, statutory agency is shifted to Hyderabad from New Delhi.The agency’s headquarters are in Hyderabad, Telangana, where it moved from Delhi in 2001.

13-SMERA is the country’s first Rating agency that focuses primarily on the Indian MSME segment. SMERA has completed 7000 ratings.

14-The Reserve Bank established BRBNMPL(Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Private Limited) in February 1995 as a wholly-owned subsidiary to augment the production of bank notes in India.

15-LCD (liquid crystal display) is invented by Hoffmann-La Roche in 1979.
