1-Y.S. Sharmila, the leader of the YSR Telangana Party, referred to Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao as the “Taliban” in a stinging attack on Sunday.

  • After being detained by the police in Mahabubabad and having her padyatra halted, Sharmila told reporters in Hyderabad that Telangana was Afghanistan of India and that KCR was its Taliban.

2-G. Sayanna, a lawmaker for the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), died on Sunday. He was 72.

  • Sayanna, a state assemblyman for the Secunderabad Cantonment district of Telangana, passed away in a hospital in Hyderabad. He had illnesses involving his heart and kidneys.

5-Notable figures in Tollywood and top politicians from the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have expressed their condolences for the loss of Tollywood actress Nandamuri Taraka Ratna.

  • The actor passed away in Bengaluru’s Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences, where he had been hospitalised on January 27 following a severe cardiac attack. He was 39.

6-Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao announced on Wednesday that his administration is prepared to set aside Rs 1,000 crore for the renovation and development of Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple, the most renowned and revered of all Hanuman shrines in the nation.

7-Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao stated that the Kondagattu Anjaneya temple will be marketed as a great spiritual destination to enhance India’s spiritual splendour after the Yadagirigutta Lakshmi Narasimha Swami temple.

8-Consumer goods giant Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) on Wednesday unveiled the Junior Athlete Development Program (JADP), which would assist 50 aspiring women cricket players from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu. The programme aims to promote female cricket players from grassroots levels.

9- K. T. Rama Rao, a Telangana minister and leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), claimed on Tuesday that the BJP has turned many agencies into its largest puppets, including the IT, CBI, and ED.


10-On Tuesday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) published the names of four candidates in the graduate and teacher categories for the March 13 elections for the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council and the Telangana Legislative Council.
