- Tollywood actor-comedian and Andhra Pradesh government advisor Ali stated on Tuesday that he will challenge actor and head of the Jana Sena Party Pawan Kalyan in the election if Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy gave the order.
- Ali professed confidence in the YSRCP’s ability to win all 175 Assembly seats and maintain control in 2024.
- Before the elections in 2019, Ali joined the YSRCP. The Rajahmundry-born actor has said he was willing to run from either Rajahmundry or Vijayawada. He wasn’t listed as a party candidate from any particular constituency, though.
3-Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, came under fire on Tuesday from the state’s main opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for not sending a representative to the WEF conference in Davos.
- Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, a TDP politburo member, urged that the Chief Minister provide an explanation for why Andhra Pradesh is not represented at the prestigious international summit.

4-On Tuesday, a guy suspected of stealing sheep was discovered dead in strange circumstances in a police station in the Andhra Pradesh district of Anantapur.
- In the Rayadurgam police station, Ramanjaneyulu’s body was discovered. He hanged himself, according to the police, on a fan in the computer room.
5-Two Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) employees committed suicide at Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) in Andhra Pradesh’s Nellore district within a 24-hour period, shocking the security team.
- On Monday night, while on night shift, Sub-Inspector Vikas Singh shot himself in the head with a revolver. At the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR at Sriharikota in the Tirupati district, the 30-year-old was on duty at gate one.

6-On January 24, actor-politician Pawan Kalyan will do a special puja at the Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple in Telangana for his campaign vehicle, “Varahi.”
- At the renowned Kondagattu temple in the Jagtial district, the head of the Jana Sena Party (JSP) will perform vahana puja of the unique campaign vehicle.
7-In preparation for the Andhra Pradesh election in 2024, Pawan Kalyan launched a specially created car last month under the moniker “Varahi.” The campaign vehicle has high-security components. It contains CCTV cameras and a public address system.
- The JSP leader will utilise the four-wheeler to campaign in Andhra Pradesh where elections are scheduled for April or May 2024.

8-Pawan Kalyan, a BJP ally, is attempting to put together a broad coalition to challenge the YSR Congress Party, which is now in power (YSRCP). In order to prevent a split in the anti-incumbency vote, he is eager to form an alliance with the BJP and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
9- On Monday, a car in their convoy was involved in an accident in the Annamayya district of Andhra Pradesh, and the minister for mines and energy there, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, and his son, MP Mithun Reddy, barely escaped injury.
- When Mithun Reddy‘s car was struck by another vehicle travelling in the opposite direction, they were on their way to a relative’s home. His personal secretary suffered severe injuries when the MP’s car toppled.
- At the time of the collision, which happened close to the Channamukkapalle ring road in the Rayachoti mandal, Mithun Reddy was a passenger in his father’s automobile.
10- In Andhra Pradesh, the Sankranti celebrations took a terrible turn when two people were killed after being assaulted by roosters who had knives linked to them during a cockfight.
- The accidents happened on Sunday in the Godavari region’s Eluru and Kakinada districts.
