2- The last Sunday of January is recognised as World Leprosy Day (WLD). The date of January 29 has been designated as World Leprosy Day in 2023.
- On this global day, we honour those who have lived with leprosy, bring attention to this disease, and demand an end to the discrimination and stigma that surrounds it.

13-Murali Vijay, an opening batsman for India who has played in many international seasons, has said that he will be retiring. In December of 2018, he last represented India in the Border-Gavaskar Test Series against Australia.
14-A mega event, inaugurated by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, kicked off the fifth edition of the Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG), which will feature nearly 6,000 athletes from across the country competing in 27 different events.
15-The Indian born naturalist British economist Meghnad Desai, wrote a book “The Poverty Of Political Economy: How Economics Abandoned the Poor”. It details how the study of economics has consistently marginalised the needs of the poor since the field’s inception in the late 18th century.
