- The Telangana administration has requested Union Budget Secretary Ashwini Vaishnaw to provide enough funding for state railway projects.
- State Industries and Commerce Minister K.T. Rama Rao wrote to the Union Minister to draw attention to the significant discrimination Telangana is subjected to when it comes to funding for various railroad projects.
2-On the advice of the High Court, the impasse between Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) administration over the state budget for 2023–24 was amicably addressed through negotiations on Monday.
- The court indicated that after hearing the state government’s petition asking for guidance on how to get the governor to adopt the budget.
- Dushyant Dave, an attorney for the state government, and Ashok Anand, an attorney for Raj Bhavan, met at the court’s advice.
- It was determined that the Governor would approve the budget, and that her address would open the state Assembly session.

3-The Chief Minister of Telangana, K. Chandrashekhar Rao, stated that India desperately requires the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi, who argued that his religion is the welfare of all parts of society regardless of caste or religion.
- The statement was delivered by CM KCR as he paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on January 30 (Martyrs’ Day), the anniversary of his passing.
4-During the upcoming Budget session of the Parliament, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) would collaborate with other opposition parties to draw attention to the “anti-people” policies of the BJP-led Union government and to the “misuse” of the Governor’s position.
- The choice was made at the BRS Parliamentary Party conference held here on Sunday, which was presided over by K. Chandrasekhar Rao, the party’s president and the chief minister of Telangana.

5-The Vikarabad-Parli Vaijnath electrification project, which includes Telangana, Karnataka, and Maharashtra, has been finished by the South Central Railway.
- The project’s 63.75 km-long last section between Latur Road and Parli Vaijnath has been put into service, signalling the end of the entire undertaking.
- This results in the electrification of the entire 268 km route, which includes about 90 km in Telangana, 62 km in Karnataka, and 116 km in Maharashtra.
6-The electrification of Vikarabad-Parli Vaijnath was authorised in 2018–19 for an estimated cost of Rs 244 crore.
7-The World Environmental & Water Resources Congress will be held in Henderson, Nevada in the US from May 21–25. The American Society of Civil Engineers – Environmental and Water Resources Institute (ASCE – EWRI) has invited Telangana IT, Industries, and Municipal Administration Minister K.T. Rama Rao to give the keynote address.

8-The Green India Challenge banner, which was established to better preserve nature and the environment and give people access to clean air, is rising to new heights.
- Santosh Kumar, a Rajya Sabha member, started the Green Challenge to raise awareness of the need for plantations and the fight against climate change.
- The Green India Challenge flag is flown both domestically and internationally. The Green India flag was most recently flown above the top of Antarctica’s tallest mountain.
- Bhupathiraju Anmish Varma accomplished his goal of ascending seven summits on seven different continents.
- Anmish Verma raised the Green India Challenge flag at the other end of the world after scaling Mt. Vinson, the tallest summit on the frigid continent of Antarctica.
9- Banoth Vennela, a tribal woman from Telangana who conquered Kilimanjaro, expressed her gratitude to Santosh Kumar for providing her with the Rs. 3 lakh in financial assistance that enabled her to realise her dream.
- On January 26, a young woman from the Tanzanian community of Somavaram Peta in the Machareddy Mandal of the Kamareddy region climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.
- She also expressed gratitude to the Green India Challenge’s organisers and Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

10-Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the president of the Telangana BJP, stated on Sunday that his party is ready for early Assembly elections in the state.
- In response to the assertion made by state minister and working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), K. T. Rama Rao, that Telangana would be prepared for early Assembly elections if the BJP national leadership was prepared for early Lok Sabha elections.
- Sanjay Kumar requested that KTR have his father, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, declare that he is prepared to hold early elections on behalf of the BJP.
